The mood board that will make you GREEN with envy

Green is becoming an increasingly popular colour in kitchens and bathrooms. While some see it as too bold a colour to mess with, others appreciate it for its links to nature and ability to create a calming atmosphere, but also make a statement.

We’ve devised a mood board that will give you some idea of how to use green effectively in your home…

1. Green range cooker

2. Green bathroom basin

Quick tip from Ripples:

Leanne Robey, Senior Designer at Ripples, says: ‘This basin teams so well with contrasting bold brassware in warmer golds, brass or bronze finishes. Choose a satin or matt finish to complement the raw texture of the concrete.

“Distressed or geometric patterned matt tiles will balance the look beautifully, but don’t be tempted overdress, let the simplicity of the basin shine.”

3. Green pendant light

The Pooky Eider pendant light has been a steadfast favourite with customers since it launched 3 years ago. Its delicate flower-shape, made from Recycled Bottle Green mixed with clear glass, results in a beautiful soft green colour that’s adaptable to any space.

Quick tip from Pooky:

When looking for lighting inspiration for a kitchen, think about what you are needing to get out of it. Do you want it to be functional and clean, pretty and feminine or warm and cosy? The Eider is perfect for those who want the functionality of a glass pendant but also want to keep the overall look a little softer.

The Eider looks fantastic in a kitchen area, hanging over a kitchen island or dining table in a set of 2 or 3. This style of hanging introduces more of a decorative feel to the lighting design. It’s also good for those that want to be ‘greener’ in the kitchen as this product is the result of recycling a mix of clear and green glass.

4. Green blender
